And I don't want the world to see me
2:49 AM
*not mine
While the rest of the world (and the majority of my peers) are out at the local cafes/mamaks/or just at home in their living rooms watching Italy most probably kicking the shit out of Paraguay, I find myself sitting in my bedroom with the lights out and it is solely illuminated by the screen of my slowly decaying laptop. Alas, the World Cup has arrived and my enthusiasm for it has dipped so low, I feel really bad sometimes and slap myself for calling myself a football fan. It would seem that my mind has mentally blocked out the view of a football pitch so much that everytime I see one on the screen, I fall asleep. I have fallen asleep at EVERY match I've watched so far that it's not even funny. Yeah, I realise some games are at 2AM and anyone would fall asleep but I'm talking about the 8PM games as well. The moment I glimpse green turf, Zzzzzzz. I don't get it. Then I wake up again ... only to fall asleep again at the next game. Seriously. However I did manage to watch Germany kick Aussie butt till the 87th minute ... before falling asleep ... again. Great game. I'm so proud of Die Mannschaft :D
Had a somewhat productive day today. Went to the gym for 2 hours. Got my gossip on with the local members ... OK mum did not me. I don't bother talking while I'm at Fitness First. I just listen. Read Shape magazine for the first time and loved it. Discussed about why science stream and arts are so badly exploited in Malaysia with them since they found out I am in a University of Creative Technology. It was a very good talk to get the older generation to open up their minds more. They were very pleased to get information from my side as well. Plus I was happy that Mum got a little knowledge about the outside world as one auntie talked to her about how "this isn't the 60's anymore. Now Malaysia is different lah." talk. Got my Intro to Internet journal notes and sketches printed out and stuff. I even took the time to colour some sketches with the longtimenoused markers from Illustration. Sometimes I'm really pleased that I bought those at ridiculous prices back then ... they certainly serve a better purpose to me now lol. Then I went to Putrajaya bridge again with Ziad to film some stuff for the family event coming up soon. Before settling for some down time back home in Shah Alam.
As one would imagine. It is now 3AM. I can't sleep. I think I should turn on the TV and look at more grass. LOL. Guarantee Tido. Goot night.
