Had the biggest urge to prove everyone wrong today. It happened as I completed an episode of Oprah on TV (she was talking about spirituality) and I just had that moment of rage and calm all at once. I said to myself "I've had it. I'm not a pushover and I'm doing things my way now."

So hopefully this feeling and determination sticks till I reach my goals.

I'm gonna try to dye my hair to a shade of auburn when I go back to Uni. Kinna suggested it and I think it'd look pretty funky on myself. I'll see how much money I have left till then anyway :( There's really a lot I need to do in the next month regarding myself. We'll see how it goes. Here's an example.

Anyway ... everything else seems to be going dandy for now. I've planned a trip to Times Square with Anne and her sister + friend this Saturday. Hopefully CST would have paid me by then so I get to indulge in some Chinese New Year (codeword for: Alison doesn't care, she gets new stuff) things. If not, window shopping it is, with a sad look on my round face. LOL.

Can't wait till uni starts. Yet again.

Went for a photo shoot in PJ a few days back with Nisha and Ziad. The location was Popo's house on Gasing Hill. No, I wasn't the subject matter but rather the organiser of the shoot. It was for Nisha's portfolio to kickstart her modelling career. Hopefully it all turns out well. All and all, I was pleased with the results I got from the shoot. A lot has been happening throughout the month and I'm beginning to lose count of events. From trip(s) to Euphoria MOS, to dinners at Picadillys and Tanjung, to birthday bashes at posh apartments and weird morning afters. It's been a blur of drama and hustle but a very good January indeed. I really enjoyed it.

Anyway ... semester commences soon. My registration date has been marked on the 23rd of Feb. It's refreshing in a way to be able to go back to uni again after a long 4 month absence. Knowing me however, I'd be complaining on the very week of my return. I'd no sooner be wanting to come home and "rest" everyday. LOL. But I really do miss the atmosphere of Cyberjaya. Everytime I visit, I'd just remember times good and bad from my years. Every semester brings a truckload of memories which I can file away in a dusty box lodged at the back of my head.

But most of all, my January (and December if you count it) have been about change. Change mentally and physically. I've learned a lot about the people around me and about myself throughout these last few months. There is such a calm about self discovery once you dig yourself out through all the sludge of emotional barriers. Sometimes, it's also society which holds you back from change. When the comments of "since when have you ..." come my way, I usually feel the nervousness creep back into my mind and a soft giggle escapes my lips. However, I do appreciate my own changes and will hope for more as time progresses. We'll see.

C ... damn that C. Oh well. I get to pass to the next semester. Woot.

New Years was good this year. Usually I spend my New Years online or asleep. We rallied up some people and headed over to Zhi Wei's house in Bukit Jelutong for a BBQ dinner.



Then we walked over to the slope of the hill the house was on to watch the fireworks with half the neighbourhood, meaning it was almost impossible to get a good spot.





then we made a few crappage videos while talking the night away.

The next day, we had another celebration at Kavi's parents condo in USJ 17. It looks pretty darn brilliant if I say so myself.



Been doing a lot lately, since Naomi arrived anyway. Now I'm completely exhausted from all the running around. But just when I thought I could have a breather, I find out Auntie Julie and Anna are arriving from Melbourne next week. LOL. Not that it matters, I love having them over. I just haven't taken proper time to myself since. But maybe it's a good thing. If the mind is occupied, it tends not to wander.

Another thing I need right now is a pair of new jeans which don't make my already enormous ass look saggy. Ah, the horror. And I'd like a pair of leggings.

The next issue I have with all these new clothes, is the weather. That's where I can't complain anymore. Not like I can do anything about it. Wearing stuff here is so uncomfortable because I'm a person who sweats easily ... which means wearing boots or jackets or whatever is hell on earth. Suppose you gotta make do and just take it like a man. LOL.
