WHY THE HELL IS IT SO HOT THESE DAYS?!
I know Malaysia generally is a hot country, but this is INSANE. Looked into the Yahoo Weather page and it says that eventhough it's 31 degrees here, it feels like 40. I couldn't agree more. I wanna die now.

http://ppgkpipamen.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/constantine.jpg

Watched Constantine just now. Haven't seen this movie for a while now. Reminded me why I love Keanu so much. Sadly, I haven't (and probably will never) watched The Matrix which is kind of a sin if you're a fan of Keanu but I guess I tend to avoid movies like that

http://images.rottentomatoes.com/images/movie/gallery/1142336/photo_28_hires.jpg

Another reason to watch this film is the choice of co-stars. Rachel Weiss and Shia LaBeouf remain favourites of mine no matter what movie they act in. I'm still pissed Rachel never got to reprise her role as Evelyn in The Mummy III (which IMO sucked as crap). It also allows us to go back and see how far Shia has gone since then, Eagle Eye, Transformers, Disturbia etc ... wonderful.

Another movie I got to enjoy this month was ye olde Sleepy Hollow. Having watched this as a 12 year old, as you can imagine, I understood very little and was more freaked out by Christopher Walken than anything else. Now everything sort of falls into place for me and it's so much more of a beautiful story than "ARGH IT'S THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN!" *runs and hides behind a door* Tim Burton amazes me more and more each time. Heck, Beetlejuice still wows me. LOL.

LOL. Just for fun. I've always wanted to work with this image but never got the chance.
And I love fooling around Photoshop so, this was just something put together in under 15 minutes LOL.

Just another form of procrastination. I'm going to die come Monday. Watch me.

Took a slow(ish) drive from Cyberjaya. Saw a rather large accident along the way. Kancil hit into the divider and the entire front of the car was smashed. It was scary cause no one put out any warning cones or anything so people were speeding by and avoiding them at the last moment. That and also you have the usual "lets stop and look" gangs stopping from the other side of the highway to get a glimpse of something. I get you wanna help someone but 'looking isn't helping'. Just hang ten, and just drive away if you don't wanna get involved.

That being said, today was such a long day. I hate Thursdays because of the severity of my day in Uni. Marketing from 9 -11 / NOTHING from 11-4.30 / Typography from 4.30 - 6. DO NOT LIKE. It's alright on some days when I don't mind just hanging around, but some days I get so ... tired of waiting around for classes. So I usually end up hanging out at Kinna's house till class, usually watch a movie while snacking on something and eating Middle Eastern food (Mmm Kabsah). But today was 'Bus Day'. We took a bus from Uni > Cyberia > Uni > Cyberia > Putrajaya Central > Alamanda > Putrajaya Central > Street Mall > Uni. All within 2-4PM. I thought it was really worth it. All for under RM2 >=D

Sat in the plaza for quite a bit today which is something of a dying art. Once you're in the Third Semester onwards, it's rare even step foot in the plaza as it is mainly a place for Pencapubs (inside joke). But yeah OK, I had a whole hour to kill. Might as well. So Kinna and I chatted a little with her sister's friend Amin (is that how you spell it?) who was simply the cutest Middle Easterner I've met. And when I say cute, I mean you wanna just walk up to him and pinch his cheeks and give him a hug. Then we had lunch with Mohammed at Hassan's.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2334/2313274795_d27e5a491b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3292/2313275313_ac77504602.jpg
(that is what I need right now - pics by me)

Then Kinna and I went back to her place to cook (meaning she cooked while I watched D:) , then we got Mohammed and Sami to come over and have dinner (which was really good!) and then I had that lonely drive home. When I got home, Rizal texted and I went to have a drink with him at some mamak which has like a HUNDRED types of roti's. God knows I can't remember the name of the place but it was like literally a hundred different names of rotis from the usual roti canai to insane shiz like roti EIFFEL TOWER. Like. Dayum. I might wanna go there again and actually eat something D:

So really, I left the house at 8.40AM and got back at 11.55PM. I AM DEAD TIRED. Tired from assignment panic, tired from life, tired from being out all day and just tired with people. Certain people. Aaand, I miss certain people and wish they'd come back in my life.

I can't see today, I can't see tomorrow.

A day out in the pasar. Ok not a DAY more like 1.5 hours from 9.30AM on a Sunday. It was a real fun experience and I guess for most people who live here it's like "What? You call that a fun experience?!" but yeah I haven't been to this market since I was 12; only to the shops surrounding the outside of it but not into the deep underbelly of it D:

Had breakfast there with Kavi and Looi (yum Mee Hoon & Iced Milo) and then drove over to Sri Melur to get to Canai's for Kavi's Dad. @__@

Anyway, it's back to uni as usual. Monday was a fine and slow as usual too. Nothing much happened so that was alright (bar the dramaz at the Bursary Dept.) and then had lunch with Mariah, Kinna and Raja at a restaurant called Mak Teh at Domain (first time there woo~). Found out she was the lady with the nasi campur of PWN from the Terminal who had moved. So now I know why she's been gone recently.

Today was a little stupid. In a nutshell > Spent too much time on Design Research Journal // Drove to Cyberia to print out some colour pages (and pick Kinna up) // Went to the PC lab to print more crap // Rushed to class only to find out the lecturer's on MC, so was the assistant lecturer too :D // Watched a few classmates swear about it (myself included) // Got the next class (typography) cancelled as well because some VIPS from the Lesotho campus were over // Sat around at the plaza // Tan Sri walked past with his entourage and said some really stupid line to us at the table and walked off // Missed Kinna's bus which was impossible to do because it was RIGHT IN FRONT OF US // Jammed my thumbdrive into my keywhole and my keys into my MP3 Modulator ...

Think alison, think!

Because Friendster is THAT useful.

FOUR THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3168/3048589964_419c836e7c.jpg
by aresjoberg

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.
Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST
Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112.
If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

SECOND
Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

THIRD
Hidden Battery Power
Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

A: eh this one doesn't work for me lah :(

FOURTH
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back,
but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

ALSO ATM'S
PIN Number Reversal - Good to Know
If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse.
For eg, if your pin number is 1234,
then you would put in 4321.

The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location.
This information was recently broadcast on CTV by Crime Stoppers however it is seldom used because people just don't know about it.

I can't help it that you look like an angel.

Life's been so pathetic these last few days. And though it's nothing hugely crap, it still feels like crap. Almost killed 4 people in my car today while driving from Summit. Ok "kill"'s an overstatement but they could have been hurt. Eventhough they tell me it's not my fault, I know behind my back they're all talking about how careless I was. Friends whom I thought I could count on are basically shit right now. I don't know why I regard them so highly when they constantly let me down again and again. Then I come online, I blog about how shit they are, then they get me to commit to something again, AND THEN let me down all over.

I find out so many things about friends that I should probably have a long time ago and everytime I'm like "Oh I didn't know that ____", the usual response is "Oh. Yeah I didn't think it was important.". Whatever man, you call that friendship? Everyone is drifting apart and it's annoying the hell out of me. I thought it only applied to ex-schoolmates but it apparently does to people I've met online too! Either our lives are seriously that busy or I'm a lousy friend.

Also, I just feel like a third wheel half the time when I'm with people now. I just feel like I interrupt what would be a perfect gathering or meeting. I'm just "that girl who follows the cooler person". Probably I am right or I could be massively paranoid but that's just how I feel right now. Someone that unimportant but evidently always around. Only needed when my "skillz" are required/when there's no one else to talk to.

Family issues are also a nagging factor at the back of my mind. Mum's insane on some days, brilliant on others, Dad's mostly nice when we're with people but when it's just us, he's moody as hell. I'm so sick of being treated unfairly by either parent, the usual response is "I'm so sorry we're making life hell for you. When you're old enough, you can leave." All I asked for was a "It'll be alright." Line from either one of them. I don't care if it's sugar coated, at least it'll make me feel better. What's the use of a parent if you can't even confide in THEM. I might as well go talk to a wall.

So many problems, so little brains/logic to comprehend them. All I can say to myself now is that things will definitely change soon. And no one will dictate how fast that will happen but me. So I'm gonna hold myself to that promise :D

May I let you down?

Tonight reminded me why I didn't like school. It reminded me why I never get along with certain people. Maybe as individuals but not in a group. I wish I didn't go and I wish I didn't say some things I did and I wish I could take it all back. This isn't something serious, but I just wish I didn't. The only good thing about it was that I got invited to spend a week in India with a friend (although I'm not going) and that someone at the table was concerned about me.

I feel so stupid for behaving the way I did and hated the way I did. But I was that pissed/annoyed so I had to revert to my emo ways. If you're reading this and were present at dinner tonight, I'm sorry I behaved like that and thank you for asking about me :D (cause i know you will read this) and everyone else: bleh.

I'm so glad I'm on a break because had I had class this week, I'd be dead. Really.

Sun, sand, salty water, inside jokes and a whole lotta pillows.

As I am way too tired to describe every leg of this journey/vacation. I shall just leave you with pictures for now and I'll talk about the trip in the next post/whenever I feel like it. I haven't gotten enough sleep as you can imagine and gotta wake up at 2.40AM for Liverpool's return game with Chelsea (fingers madly crossed) so I might be a little cranky if the result doesn't go our way obviously.

Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. I took a risk by traveling with some people I had only met less than 24 hours ago and we get along perfectly fine. Pillow fights and all.

I believe the grass is no more greener from the other side.

Two albums I want now. Because these two bands have played a big part of my childhood ;D
I own them on MP3 but sadly, they have gone missing and I don't feel like downloading a whole album off a torrent site. So I think I'ma save money and try to buy it one day when I'm in Tower Records or Speedy or something. Go Darren and Ronan :D

Liverpool VS Chelsea at 3AM tomorrow morning. Aunt and Uncle will be joining us from PJ. When the match is over, we'll drive them home haha. I don't care if they fall asleep or something, I'm watching and yelling as loud as I can.

Got pretty much a lot of work done in the last 24 hours because the internet (yes TMNET) decided to revert back to it's normal speed (which isn't even 100kbps as promised) after being shit for the past 2 days. I woke up at 6.30AM to mum yelling out "THE INTERNET IS FAST AGAIN!" Ah, the perks of having a mother who is an internet addict herself :D

Anyway, at the crack of dawn, I managed to get my typography studies journal research more or less finished, my tracing of fonts done (all I need now is to fine tune them according to Mr. Shahrul's liking), and updated my link lists for the reference lists for both Typography and Design Research. When I came back at 11PM, I got one part (Audience/Market) of the CAD report done for Kinna who did splendidly with her part last night. Tomorrow morning, I plan to get my fonts fine tuned and posters made up for printing so I don't have to worry about the presentation till Thursday.

I haven't studied for any of the exams next week and feel myself being royally phucked if I don't do anything about it on Sunday/Monday. I still have a mountain of work waiting for me to deal with it. I can't believe the report is due on Monday and I need to compile a reference list for the Cartoon debate (which I didn't know about till the last second so that was bullshit). *slams head into a nearby wall*. It's OK; I just need to chill for a sec. On to more cheerful events.

Aunt/Uncle/Cousin from Aussie flew down last night. Greeted them at Popo's house as usual and chilled with them for a while. Went to IKEA/IKANO/Curve with them today. Spent about 5-6 hours there (my legs are still wobbly) walking into almost every shop we saw. Got a new chinese lantern light from IKEA and 2 tops from some factory outlet place. There's so many of those now, I can't tell one from another. Had lunch/tea there, walked more, checked out some edifier speakers for my aunt's iPod, walked more, got doughnuts, walked more, bumped into
Andy and Wai Kheng, walked more, listened to 'Jizz in the Pants' on cousin's iPod, and so on so forth. It was a very long day.

In other short news:
1. I didn't know we had a new PM till last night (EPIK FAIL)
2. Almost got killed on the way home from PJ because of a certain black Proton Perdana (or whatever it was) which was speeding in a residential area while I was taking a turn on a junction. Screw you bastard.
3. Glad I didn't get lectured about it at home.
4. Semi witnessed an accident outside my house involving a bike, a man lying on the road moaning, a lot of people and an ambulance. No one died.
5. I got RM120+ from Aunt. :D I can afford a few years on my new drivers license which will be renewed on Monday at JPJ or something. WOOT.
