Just walk along with me, I beseech you

Naomi arrived safe and sound last night. Went to KLIA with Dad to pick her up. So far the weather's been fine so I don't think she'll be complaining about it ... till this afternoon when we bring her down to KL haha. Took her to Mayuri (mamak) last night to hang out with Nisha, Bushan, Aroon and his gf. It was fun. I'm glad she got to experience that. Was half watching Ganjini (Hindi movie) while sitting there. I can't get over the songs they play in it. Especially Guzarish.

Today's plan: KLCC (as usual), Bukit Bintang, Petaling Street, Sungai Wang and Times Square. If we can manage all that in a day. If not then we'll just split it into two. KL isn't all that far anyway :) I don't have much cash on me anymore so I'll probably doing a lot of visual shopping lol. Plus I have my trusty camera with me so it's all gravy.

Got my eyebrows threaded (a 10 sec clip for those of you going "WTF IS THREADING?")and my contact lenses yesterday. Eye-wise, Alison is covered. Now I need a good blush and foundation. Hmm.

Oi!

Naomi flies in night after tomorrows. It's pretty epic. I'll be spending most of my time at home tomorrow cleaning as the house looks like poop and we can't receive guests like this. LOL. The first thing to do in the morning is to take her down to KL and straight to Pasar Seni (Central Market) and Petaling Street (Chinatown) for her "cheap shit" tour. Hahaha. You gotta love being AZN for this very fact. We're always after a bargain. I myself need to get a shirt + scarf + wallet for myself. It'll be a great day. Hopefully the weather won't be against us. And then Esfand has a plan for us to go have a beer or something lol.

Went to the movies with Ziad on Christmas day to watch 3 Idiots. I only went cause he insisted and mentioned that Aamir Khan was a cinematic genius. Truth be told, I've only watched a handful of his movies and I would hardly call them 'amazing'. But his performance in this movie was rather brilliant if I have to say so myself. It's different (ish) from your typical Hindi movies. There's still random dancing/singing and whatnot but the issues were more realistic. No 'boy meets girl and can't be with her' scenario thank God. The humour was good too. I'm obsessed with this song off the movie. It's fantastic.

So much going on and I can't be bothered to stop cause I love this pace now. I think I've been nothing but content this week. I'm really happy. Perfect way to start the new year.

It's been ... about 3 weeks since I got home from Australia. Haven't really found the time (and patience) to sit down and talk about it.

Melbourne is still Melbourne. Nothing much has changed since I went there last (2007 or 2008). Only difference now is that I'm here alone (well, with Anne) and things are more on my own time than anything else. No more cross stitch shops with mum. Just me, my tram ticket and Melbourne City just waiting to be discovered.

Ah well, I'll miss it. I really enjoyed coming home too (due to certain circumstances) but I still miss it. Walking through the city, learning the streets, walking to Rod Lavers when we're supposed to be going to Southbank ... walking to Vic Market, taking the tram to St.Kildas, driving up to the Danendongs, swimming in Auntie Bab's pool ... then getting tipsy after with too much wine, shopping at Knox and Doncaster (well that was dull actually), Camberwell Market ... and all the little cafes (especially the one we stopped at in Swanston St.) we ate at. Op shopping. My purchases this time around mainly revolved around items of clothing. 3 pairs of shoes (YES), many tops as well as bottoms and dresses. Hee.

All thanks to Auntie Julie an Uncle Lars. Really. This trip was brilliant because of their hospitality.

As for my job experience, I love Tarbush I really do, but I realise now that that love is only extended to as far as a PATRON is concerned. LOL. I'm leaving in 4 days because it really is too difficult for me. I'm not making a lot of mistakes, I just don't know how to get into the routine. I've made tonnes of friends there and even (if I may say) developed a crush on one of them. LOL. Nonetheless, it was a GREAT experience but I think my time spent there will be at a table ... actually sitting down and enjoying the location for not more than 2 hours at a time. LOL.

But we'll see what happens. Making new friends is always a brilliant thing. Getting paid at the same time isn't that bad either. lol.
