Make up, clothes, glass bangles. Perhaps it's not my thing but it's fun to step out of your comfort zone for a bit. I arrived at LKW with Anne, Nisha, Denise and Rawad. We met up with Nisha's friend Thanuja and company. We got our temperatures checked (while I coughed into their faces) and tickets ripped.

What was amusing to me was that people were treating us like guests in our own uni. Obviously it's not their fault, they don't know who's from LKW and who isn't. I was on the way to the loo when a guard stopped me and asked where I was going. Told him, and he pointed in a direction and I said "I know. I study here." The look of epikfail.

MAYA was as fun as it got :) There was a row of guys in front of us who were really annoying though. They laughed and jeered and overhyped every small thing that went down onstage. Oh well .. what do you expect anyway? (lol inside joke). The dancers from all the other uni's were pretty good too. My personal fave would be MMU Melaka's dance. I know, a LKW student supporting MMU. Sacrilage. LOL! Taylor's was the worst of the lot. Sorry if you're a Taylor's student but, your dancers sucked. One dude just stood there cluelessly the WHOLE time and the other dancers had to guide him around. Ample amount of time used to rehearse was spent ... mammaking? LOL

Had dinner at La Fresh (while being ignored by some people) and met up with Kinna, Adeel and Zain. It was a really good night. Perfect Saturday night spent. Got home at 3 which was ridiculous. I wanted the night to go on but I guess I would have died if I had stayed on any longer.

Anyway, when I got home, I read an interesting article on Facebook last night: 50 Mistakes Women Make When Having Sex. It was seriously lulztastic yet somewhat eyeopening. I thought it'd interest some people I know *winks*

Dad mentioned Liverpool playing this Sunday. I cannot believe how long it's been since I watched a whole football game (excl. Singapore) on TV. But I have to admit, the holidays/off season period I've sort of lost the interest in football ever so slightly. I don't hate the sport any less of course but it's like, that passion has semi burnt out. So, hopefully come Sunday I'll revert back after watching LFC's first game back. It's gonna be so weird without Xabi around now :(

Haven't done anything productive since uni started and that's gonna reflect on how much ass kicking I need. I'm gonna start working on them assignments on Saturday. Promise. I can already hear a group of people laughing behind me and in my head.

I'll be trying out for an internship in Dubai at the end of the year. Thanks to Kazi who's working at a British magazine company specialising in Advertising. He extended me and Kinna an offer to go with him. He also is staying at a place there with the rent being 70% off! So we're looking into living expenses while in Dubai. Mum and Dad gave me the green light too. If it all works out, I'll be working there from Dec - Jan/Feb. ZOMG Dubai.

Shall have dinner with the amigos then go for an evening jog and then come home and pass out. ciao. Hope everyone's enjoying their TGIFs.

Mmm, damn I miss eating these. We had some in Australia in abundance due to my aunts neighbours tree which was overbearing with fruit. All we had to do was stand in the backyard and wait for them to fall. Lulz. August is rolling in, Spring will be here any time now.



Classes officially start tomorrow (actually, today) and I have no idea when or what my first class is. Uni decided to be a jackass and not release our timetable till Monday/today. And so I don't even know if it's in the afternoon or morning and I could be wasting my entire day away there. How useless.

Sad thing is, on the eve of my return to uni, my body decides to play a cruel prank and fall sick. I'm suffering a rather harsh cough and sorethroat and all I can hope out of it is that I gain an awesome deep scratchy voice ... because it sounds smexy. LOL. But really though, I really feel the need to get myself a mask for classes. I don't want to get any sicker and I don't wanna spread what I have too.

Another shitty thing is that my gag reflex has been on the fritz as of late. I occasionally feel the need to hurl and when in public, perhaps not a good feeling to go through. I blame the damn cough. Lovely timing la Alison.

Sometimes I feel that it's not my place to ask such favours and commitments off people. I know they're willing to do what I request but it's not in my general nature to ask favours from anyone. So when something rather large like this is concerned, it sort of changes my views on things and understand that there are people out there who would do things for me.

It's like, who am I to make such demands from someone? They're willing to just drop all their plans and hop along on my journey. Not a lot of people would agree to such an idea so quickly. Over a span of time, minds and opinions change though.

I can only hope that my trust and loyalty can help so far because it'd be very disappointing to have everything fall into shambles before anything happens.

I really want this to work out but if it's all just a joke, I don't know what I'd do.

My head is seriously heavy as hell and I can't feel my fingers and my soles itch. I don't like wine. Wine and Caramel Macchiato nonsense. Bleh, oh well. It's not a hangover anyway. HAHA. Just me not getting enough sleep I guess.

I'm too lazy/tired to go for a walk. This sucks because I know I'll have to do it anyway. My head is just begging for a pillow though. Maybe I could walk with a pillow next to me. Think people would point and stare? Yeah they would I guess.

Had a lovely dinner last night with the girls which consisted of Nisha's famous Soya Balls (lol), Subways and Starbucks. I am now broke as hell. Please don't invite me for anymore dinners unless it's at a mamak or some chinese hawker center. My wallet needs to bulk up. But it was all in good fun and I loved it. I miss hanging out with them all at a go.

Perhaps this is the only reason this person ever came into my life. To teach me how to endure such obstacles (aka shit la)



Suddenly I crave the sudden silence of waking up in the morning in the cold weather under a thick quilt just listening to the sound of nothingness. I only ever got that in Australia. Sleeping in the basement in TN doesn't count. Anyway, I miss that feeling of knowing your whole day is just planned by others. You have no commitments but just to show up at the breakfast table and put on a (fake) smile on your face. Just enjoying the stillness and the slow creaking of wooden floorboards. It just gave me that inner peace with myself albeit the boredom that usually followed.

I miss the cold breeze on my face (which kind of hurt but oh well) and just slowly making my way around the house/street. People who passed me by always smiled or said something pleasant which obviously means a lot more if you appreciate the finer things in life. I wish I hadn't complained so much while I was there (and yet if you put me in the same position now, I probably would again). I miss going out with the family and forgetting that there is hurt elsewhere in the world just waiting for me to return. Those evenings spent in the parks or just wandering around the roads of Melbourne. I miss you so much.



I wish I had more patience for things but I know it wouldn't be like me anyway. I wish I had never done a lot of things I did. But yes, life is meant to teach you it's lessons and it's up to you when you choose to learn them.

I just wish the most painful of all didn't have to come so fast.

1. Went to uni to register for my new semester. When the lady at the registry asked if I was in "Year 2, semester 2." I was literally speechless. I cannot believe it's been that long. I simply nodded and walked off slighty shocked.
2. Drove down to Alamanda with Kinna, Sami, Mariah, Naz, Edmund and Anne. Had Maccas for lunch (thanks Anne) and Big Apple/Starbucks for dessert. :D
3. Drove back to Cyber and watched half an hour of Chocolat at Kinnas.
4. Chilled at home for a bit.
5. Went for a walk/dinner with Nisha
6. Wondered about certain things about someone.
7. Decided to get a bottle of Absolut come September for no purpose at all.
8. Came home and got killed by millions of mosquitoes.
9. Watched porn for an hour.

Ok that last one was a lie. It was a pretty slow day though eventful. Loved it from start till end. Uni however can go shove itself because you'd think after MANY years of learning from their mistakes made on registration day, it would seem that it can ONLY get worse. They've degraded from the Hall of Fame to the Plaza to the Courtyards. They supposed the whole FDI faculty could fit into a single courtyard. Oh yeah, the bursary was moved to the old Art Shop location. Lovely. I love how much we fork out for such service. Nice. Cbb I guess. Class starts on Monday. Oh yeah, we didn't even get our timetables because the staff are still shuffling it around deciding on how to place the subjects. You only had like 2 months to do so? I <3 LKW!

21 y.o guy who's part Indian/Thai/HongKee who plays in a band called Black Horizon. We spoke for a good 15 minutes about his life lol. I ended up buying Harold & Kumar off him. He told me he'd get the first one for me next time.

Dinner tonight with Prakash, Aroon, Luke, Nisha and Anne tonight. That ought to be an interesting one. Can't help but to feel drowsy right now though. LOL!
